iPhone 7+

Posted on Updated on

It’s been a strange year ! Apple selling smartphones that are over the £1000 mark and people just falling for it !

I walked away from Nikon for this reason quite a few years back, suck you in to a product then hike the prices up.

I nearly bought one but then I came to my senses !

I have used the iPhone 7 for over two years and loved it to be honest and could not see the value in a £1200 upgrade !

I just wanted a bigger screen as my eyesight is not great in the winter and a slightly better camera. So I went for the iPhone 7+ and so far I have been blown away by this phone.

It’s my go to pocket camera now before my G7X Mark II, it really is a great smartphone.

I have seen some great work from this phone from Mark Littlejohn and Matt Walkley, so took the plunge and saved myself a fortune over the new really expensive models. I always get my new phones in John Lewis now, they give you such a long warranty it’s a no brainer.

I did read Apple are disappointed in the iPhone sales this year ! No shit Sherlock !

I really am very happy with this bigger phone and camera is very nice.

The images below were all shot on a recent trip to Yorkshire for the Fujiholics Workshop in the Yorkshire Dales.

Love the iphone7+ combined with SnapSeed.

If you follow Apple on Instagram, they only feature users photos shot on Apple devices, every now and again there are some really good photos.

Agreed Matt. I’ve still got the iPhone 6+ which does me fine although the camera isn’t the best – think the 7 upgraded it a fair bit from memory. Interestingly I was in the Joe Cornish gallery yesterday (same town as me) to see Joe’s new 2018 exhibition and I noticed he has a set of iPhone photos on display / sale as well and has included a commentary with them about how he uses the iPhone for photos.

It’s quite surprising to be honest how many people do use the iphone7+ for their photography. The newer ones have lots of bells and whistles but the 7+ is perfect for so many people.

So many great images being taken with Phones these days. I bet Jo has some amazing work with his phone. Have you seen Mark Littlejohns work ?

I’ve only seen Mark’s on Twitter so difficult to judge from that but they look very good indeed. Joe refers to the use of his iPhone as the modern version of a notebook and sketchpad – they are very good.
